Constituency 109 — Ouellé, Ananda, Akpassanou

Constituency 109 is a legislative constituency of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, located in the Iffou Region. It brings together the sub-prefectures of Ouellé, Ananda and Akpassanou together with their attached villages and hamlets. It has been represented in the National Assembly by Honorable Yao N'Guessan Innocent since January 2026.

The three sub-prefectures

  • Ouellé

    Administrative centre of the constituency. Home to the main constituency office and Youth Hub, and the starting point of the MP’s field tours.

  • Ananda

    Farming sub-prefecture, focus of the emergency water programme (8 village pumps rehabilitated) and of the advocacy to resurface the Ananda – Akpassanou feeder road.

  • Akpassanou

    Sub-prefecture where the Akpassanou 1 & 2 school complex renovation, the school kit distribution and the mobile health campaign were carried out.

Local economy

The constituency’s economy rests on agriculture: cocoa, coffee, cashew and food crops (maize, cassava). Women’s and youth farming cooperatives form its main organised economic fabric.
