What is Honorable Innocent Yao's exact role in the National Assembly?
As Member of Parliament for Constituency 109, Honorable Innocent Yao votes on legislation, scrutinises government action and represents the interests of the people of Ouellé, Ananda and Akpassanou in Parliament. He may table bills, put written questions to ministers and take part in standing committee work.

How can I meet the MP or submit a constituent request?
You may visit the Ouellé constituency office (Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:30) or the Ananda reception office (Tuesday and Thursday, 08:30–16:00), or use the Citizen Services portal on this site to request an appointment or file a case. The parliamentary office aims to process every request within 48 working hours.

How can youth and women benefit from support programmes?
Honorable Innocent Yao and JPDCI Rurale support legally registered farming groups and cooperatives. You can submit a project through the Citizen Services section or contact the zone delegates. The June 2026 support to Ouellé cooperatives (equipment, seeds, formal registration) illustrates the type of assistance offered.

Where is Constituency 109 and what does it cover?
Constituency 109 lies in the Iffou Region of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire. It brings together the sub-prefectures of Ouellé, Ananda and Akpassanou together with their attached villages and hamlets, including N’Gattakro. Its economy rests mainly on cocoa, coffee, cashew and food crops.

How can I attend a public meeting or listening session?
How can I volunteer with the constituency office?
The Citizen Services portal includes a volunteer registration form. Volunteers support village tours, school distributions and mobile health campaigns. No financial contribution is required to volunteer.

How do I report a local problem (road, school, water, health)?
Use the “Report a local issue” form in the Citizen Services portal, stating the village, sub-prefecture and nature of the problem. A tracking number is issued once the form is submitted. You may also file your report in person at the Ouellé or Ananda office.

Where can I find the MP’s bills, written questions and reports?
The Parliamentary Work section of this site publishes each initiative with its date, status, purpose and, where relevant, the ministry addressed. The official texts prevail and are available from the General Secretariat of the National Assembly and the official record of debates.
Which parliamentary committees does the MP take part in?
To date the parliamentary office publishes one attested membership: the Committee on Research, Science, Technology and Environment, whose March 2026 hearings addressed renewable energy for irrigation and village lighting. Any further membership will be published as soon as it is formally documented.
Career
How was Honorable Innocent Yao elected while incarcerated?
Arrested on 4 June 2025 and held at the Abidjan Penitentiary Centre, his candidacy was validated by the Independent Electoral Commission on 15 November 2025. The campaign was run on the ground by traditional chiefs, women and young people of the constituency. He was elected on 27 December 2025 with 59.2% of votes cast, and granted provisional release on 7 January 2026, the day he took office.

What is JPDCI Rurale and what is the MP’s role in it?
JPDCI Rurale is the rural youth organisation of the PDCI-RDA. Honorable Innocent Yao has been its National President since 13 June 2015, when he was elected in Abidjan with 75% of the votes of the rural coordinations. In that capacity he built the national network of young people in farming areas around access to land, training and agricultural credit.

How are constituency projects selected?
Projects arise from listening sessions held during village tours and from requests filed at the Ouellé and Ananda offices. They are prioritised by health or schooling urgency, the number of residents affected, and the ability to deliver a verifiable result. Every project published on this site states its location, date, beneficiaries and status.
